Únětický 12° is a classic full-bodied Bohemian lager, unpasteurised, unfiltered. Only highest quality Czech malt from historic Malthouse Kounice (est. 1590) and local hops from the Žatec area are used. Únětický 12° is brewed the classical way typical for Pilsener style by double decoction, fermented in open fermentation tanks and matured in lager tanks in the historic cellar for at least 20 days.
It is a completely different lager - the malt body, the earthiness in flavor and aroma, the dry hoppy bitter finish. Not comparable to anything out there!
To keep the freshness of a true Czech lager, the beer is shipped via our tank container and kegged at B. United International in CT before distribution.
