Kiuchi Sake Brewery, Yakima Chief Hops and Hitachino Nest Beer Release Limited Quantity Collaboration Beer “Sakura Stout”
Sakura Stout was released as part of the “Farm to Pint Collaboration” between hop farmers and breweries by Yakima Chief Hops. It is an imperial stout with a woody, mellow aroma and a light, crisp stout-like feel. Kiuchi Brewery used Ahtanum® Brand - Yakima Chief Hops and aged the stout in cherry (Sakura) barrels which were previously used to age ‘Hinomaru Whisky Sakura Cask’. This is a new, unique initiative of Kiuchi Brewery who produce both, Hitachino Nest Beer and Hinomaru Whisky. The cherry barrels used for ageing Sakura Stout will be used again to age Hinomaru Whisky to give the whisky even more depth. With Sakura Stout you can enjoy the rich aroma and mellow flavor that can only be created with traditional techniques.
Ingredients: Munich malt, Crystal malt, Black malt, Ahtanum® hops, ale yeast
Alcohol content: 6.5%
