Coupler: European Slider
CAUTION: A System looks very similar to the M System!
Identifying Marks:
1. Circular flat steel head allowing the coupler to slide on.
2. Flat steel head in the center of the rubber ring (This distinguishes if from the M System which has a metal sphere in the center of the rubber ring).

Coupler: American Sankey
CAUTION: D System looks very similar to the S System!
Identifying Marks:
1. Recessed coupler entry allowing the coupler to twist in.
2. Usually the fitting has a steel sphere in the center of the rubber ring however it can also have a small flat steel head instead.
3. The D System differs from the S System by the amount the entry connection is recessed from the top of the fitting. The S System is recessed twice. The first time is from the top to a steel ring and then the entry is recessed once again. The D System is only recessed once from the top to the entry.

Coupler: Grundy
Identifying Marks:
1. Circular flat steel head with three sides cut. It looks like circle that has been cut to fit inside of a triangle.
2. Flat steel head in the center of the rubber ring.

Coupler: Schneider / Einbecker
CAUTION: M System looks very similar to the A System!
Identifying Marks:
1. Circular flat steel head allowing the coupler to slide on
2. Metal ball in the middle of the rubber ring (This distinguishes it from the A System as that has a flat metal head in the middle of the rubber ing)

CAUTION: S System looks very similar to the D System!
Identifying Marks:
1. Recessed coupler entry allowing the coupler to twist in.
2. Usually the fitting has a small flat steel head in the center of a thin rubber ring however it can also have a steel sphere instead.
3. The S System differs from the D System by the amount the entry connection is recessed from the top of the fitting. The S System is recessed twice. The first time from the top to a steel ring and then again from the steel ring to the entry. The D System only is recessed from the top to the entry.
