Lyon Hall Beer Director- David McGregor, Chef de Cuisine- Andy Bennett, and B. United International's Ron Fischer invite you to a very special Beer Dinner on Tuesday June 28th from 6:30 PM to 9 PM!
Over the last year Lyon Hall has fallen in love with the Kiuchi Brewery and their line of Hitachino Nest beers. As we watched with the world as the tragedy and devastation that unfolded on March 11, 2011, we couldn't help but wonder what we could do to assist in the recovery. Solution: order a ton of beer and get inspired by the flavours, culture, and hospitality of Japan and put on a dinner.
The 5 course tasting menu has been prepared utilizing classic French techniques and Asian ingredients. Hitachino Nest beers are some of the best food pairing beers that we have come across. They are well executed, flavorful and balanced.
The Menu:
Togarashi dusted and Scallop lemongrass Soup Dumpling
Yuzu, Fava, Mint, bacon and pickled pineapple
Nipponia - Golden Ancient Ale
Marinated Escolar
Wasabi pea puree, squash blossoms
White Ale
Pan seared Quail, plum, pickled ginger
Real Ginger Ale
Tare Glazed Shortribs
Grilled watermelon, cucumber, coriander
XH - Brown Ale aged in Sake Barrels
Hitachino Espresso stout soufflé with espresso shortbread.

The cost for each spot will be $125 with tax and gratuity included, $50 from each seat will go to a fund set up by Toshiyuki Kiuchi of Kiuchi brewery to be dispersed to the people in the immediate community who are still in need. The Kiuchi Family has been a fixture in the community for over 170 years. We have all the confidence in the world that our contributions will get directly to the people who need it the most. the fund has not yet been approved for tax-deductible status as it has not been a year since it's inception. Feel free to add an extra contribution as it will go to those still in great need.
